Quipper Video is a one-stop solution to learn in the digital age we live in today. Most twelfth graders or SMA 3 students in Indonesia have to go through what we know as Ujian Nasional (UN) or Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN). For those of you who don’t know it and are International readers, these testings are a requirement from the government in Indonesia and it is something like the SATs for Indonesians. This online product makes videos to help students especially in the twelfth grade to learn about topics such as mathematics, sciences and languages.

Quipper understands what most twelfth graders have to go through everyday in their lives – waking up early in the morning to go to school and arrive home really late at night. They understand that teens rarely get the chance to see the sunlight because of the long and tiring day of school. Teens in Jakarta especially get home really late due to factors such as traffic and may find that going for offline tuition with tutors a hassle. So they have built this website and publish videos for students to learn from. Not only that, but they have more than 4000 quality questions for students to learn from and quiz themselves.

I can totally relate to this situation because I am currently in the twelfth grade and I get super lazy to go to an actual offline or physical place to get lessons on UN exams after finishing 8 hours of school. I would rather have it in my phone or laptop and I can access it whenever I want. I also feel that its easier to use Quipper because I can repeat the videos again and again. I can review anytime I want and everything is up to me. I can save more time by having it on my personal gadget and still learn. I think Quipper is a nice learning tool because it will teach students like me about independent learning by motivating to learn ourselves. This skill will be useful for university later and throughout our lives. After we finish high school I don’t think our parents would still push us to study and it is up to us to study or not.

In addition, Quipper would also be beneficial for students like me because it will help me familiarize with what the UN examinations are like. I go to an International school and my school have never required us to do these examinations. However, just recently the government changed the rules and have made it mandatory for us to take the UN examinations. With the help of Quipper, I can help prepare for my upcoming UN examinations and get the big idea. I can start learning with the topics I want to learn first and as a very individualized learner I like to learn things through listening as well as visually.

Learning has never been easier as it can be done anywhere as long as you have a laptop and  good internet connection with you. Their learning tools are also categorized in more granular topics so it is easier for students to follow along. Students can rewind and play back the videos if they want to repeat the lessons. This suits my learning style because I like to go back and review things in detail again an again. Where in real life if you actually go to an actual place for lessons, it would be really hard because asking the teacher to explain it again and again would make them unhappy and myself feel bad.

Finally, Quipper is also designed to motivate students in learning, and parents have access and may monitor students learning activities through a report.
