Kyochon

If you love korean chicken wings ala Bonchon this place should be one hundred times better. Trust me. The chicken here is way juicier and its just different. The chicken tastes rather unique and it has the lip smacking, succulent, plump, aromatic, meaty, and the perfect golden brown. Okay, I should stop now and let the pictures do their job….. Just don’t salivate too much.

Bornga

My friends have been telling me to go checkout this Korean BBQ restaurant BORNGA for quite some time and honestly, I think this has to be one of the best Korean BBQ in Jakarta. I also find this place very affordable compared to most Korean BBQ restaurants. Since the place is good, it took me quite a while-like 10 mins or so for a table because I arrived at around 1 PM for lunch. The place is crowded and smells like BBQ- You get what I’m talking about. The interior of the restaurant was nothing out of the ordinary- its like any other Korean BBQ places. The exhaust pipes coming down from the ceiling, bamboo decoration and the flat screen SAMSUNG TV with the Korean Drama on. Even so, the food was tongue-smacking and their appetizers are just amazing. They will serve you the complimentary long giant plate of veggies, and many small Korean dishes. I also have to say that their Bulgogi is the best and the Ox tongue is not to be missed!

Mojo Kitchen & Bar

Mojo Kitchen & Bar is a tiny restaurant/cafe in Senopati. I feel that this place is really nice for people to just hang and chill with friends. The ambience of this restaurant is welcoming and the interior is very minimalistic. The overall feel of this restaurant is rustic because it has a lot of wooden interiors and everything is very vintage. The food was delish and I think it leans more to Western/Korean fusion. I have to say that their Kimchi Spaghetti was tasty and I recommend you guys to try it. The Nutella drink is also not to be missed. The service was friendly and I had a really good time there. I love this restaurant and I’ll be back soon.

Arang 22 (아랑22)

If you like Korean BBQ definitely check out this place. I have to say that this place serves one of the best Korean BBQ and the side dishes here are amazing. From the glass noodles (cap che), kimchi, Korean veggies, fried eggs etc. Ambience of this restaurant is just like any other Korean restaurant. Smokey and smells pretty much like BBQ. After coming out this restaurant I have to say that you’re going to smell like Korean BBQ…it’s not a bad thing- for once, you can smell like food. 😉 The place also have the floor seats- like those traditional korean places and the interior is mostly wooden and very Korean -if you get what I mean. Moreover they also serve live baby octopuses. If you have the guts to try, go ahead! I heard they serve one of the best in Jakarta 🙂

Bibigo

I passed this restaurant while I was walking around the Pacific Place Mall and it seemed pretty interesting because this restaurant happens to be owned by the same person who owns TOUS LE JOUR. And as you all may know, TOUS LE JOUR is a very famous new bread store thats been in town for around a year now. The ambience of this restaurant was just okay because it was like any other Korean restaurants. Smells like BBQ and they have the wooden tables. Honestly the food was tasty but its not original. They have changed the taste to match with what Jakartans like. I think this is great and all but I like traditional Korean Food and it should be better if it was like that. Moreover, here are the pictures for you to drool!
